Pasta Necklaces

Here's an easy, super fun craft activity to do with the special little one in your life, whether camping, at the beach or at home.

400gm dried rigatoni or penne pasta

6 x 50cm lengths of string

Place the pasta on a table or picnic blanket and let the kids thread it onto the string.  Tie the ends to create a necklace, cutting off any excess string.

If camping or at the beach, light a portable gas stove, or if at home use an element on your cooktop.

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil over medium heat.  Add the pasta necklaces and cook according to the instructions on the packet until al dente.  Transfer to a bowl of cold water, then drain on a piece of paper towel.

Let the kids wear the necklaces and eat the penne as they play!
